SAITEX is an export/import showcase that facilitates trade throughout Africa and internationally. Exhibitors are manufacturers and exporters across a range of (essentially) retail sectors whilst visitors are importers, agents, distributers, wholesalers and retailers.
SAITEX is the only multi-sectoral event of its kind in Africa as well as being the most international supported trade fair on the continent. The 2012 event saw 590 companies exhibiting from 41 countries.
SAITEX is wholly owned and operated by Exhibition Management Services (EMS). EMS is a leading South African exhibition organiser established in 1981 with a 30 year history of successful trade show implementations throughout the African continent.
SAITEX is co-located with the continent's largest Food & Beverage trade industry event Africa's Big Seven (AB7). The only event of its kind in Africa its seven elements track food and beverage products from the farm gate through all manufacturing processes into the retail environment.
SAITEX 2012 and AB7 together attracted 15 253 visitors from 53 countries (that's over 25 % of the world's nations). This represented a 4% increase over the 2011 statistics in what's still considered as a globally depressed market.
SAITEX is an ideal platform for all business operators from the largest corporations to the smallest SMME's to network and increase international market share. It also acts as a forum for government and investment agencies to showcase their projects.
