According to a report by trade magazine the Grocer, the supermarket chain is launching 350 Polish lines into 85 stores and 55 halal lines to 30 stores, mostly sourced from small local suppliers.
The stores stocking the ranges are mostly in areas with high ethnic populations. An Asda spokeswoman said, "Our ethnic customers have been telling us they want a one-stop shop, too".(Namnews)
