Facilities Management Expo provides end-to-end FM solutions

| Ivana | Partner Content

Facilities Management Expo 2024, which will take place at Gallagher Convention Centre in Midrand, from 11 to 13 June 2024, continues to plot an upwards trajectory for the provision of southern Africa’s largest collection of facilities management products and services.

Undisputably the premier platform for providing the industry with answers and functionality for their challenges, Facilities Management Expo’s co-location with award-winning Securex South Africa, A-OSH EXPO, and Firexpo creates further benefits for industry professionals looking for diverse solutions across security, FM, health and safety, and fire safety.

“Now in its fourth edition, Facilities Management Expo has grown exponentially in popularity with both exhibitors and the market. Situating multiple FM solutions under one roof is highly beneficial for time-pressed market professionals who are actively seeking products and services to maximise employee productivity and wellbeing. These solutions help to ensure that facilities run smoothly, with integration of multiple services — including security, fire, OSH, and environmental control — being the key,” says Mark Anderson, Portfolio Director at Specialised Exhibitions — a division of Montgomery Group.

In market research conducted by the South African Facilities Management Association (SAFMA) in 2020[1], it was stated that 74 different facilities management services are offered, classified into 16 operational areas. With this volume of services, the impact the facilities management industry has on maintaining the value of properties, and to secure a healthy and professional working environment to employees and employers alike, cannot be underestimated.

The report further stated that: “The IFM (integrated facilities management) service providers have a stronghold on building installations and maintenance, and on project management, and to some extent cleaning, purification, and security. Through these services, a host of other services are provided to clients. On the other hand, facilities contractors are strongly positioned in real estate (mainly landlords), travel, fire protection, and regulatory or compliance services. Real estate, especially, is where both service provider groups contest for opportunities.”

Its solutions are designed to maximise efficiency and minimise property damage throughout the pipeline detection and repair process.

AP Sensing (Hall 3, Stand FD16) supplies distributed optical sensing solutions for distributed temperature sensing, distributed acoustic sensing, distributed vibration sensing). Decentral Energy Services (Hall 3, Stand FD05) offers risk-free and fully financed solar energy solutions for the residential, commercial, and industrial sectors in South Africa.

JEM (Hall 2, Stand A16) super-powers a business’ HR administration by focusing on digitally connecting the majority of an employer’s workforce using the most-used messaging app in the world — WhatsApp. By doing this, HR professionals can save time, reduce costs, and unlock employee engagement. Industroclean (Hall 3, Stand FC07) has a wide product offering that ensures high hygiene standards. The company produces a collection of incredibly effective cleaning chemicals, stocks some of the world’s most admired cleaning machinery, and offer spares, servicing, maintenance, and training.

“Facilities Management Expo 2024 works in close partnership with both SAFMA, and the Cleaning Association of South Africa (CASA), to provide end-to-end benefits to the industry. Visitors can look forward to various additional expo features, including the New Products Display area, the Facilities Management Seminar Theatre — featuring topical sessions by leading specialists in the FM sector — and the Premier Visitor Lounge,” says Anderson.
